GEORGIA BORCHERDT THOMAS
Mrs. George Thomas, 71, of Concord, Calif., formerly of Manitowoc, died at
Concord Thursday following a short illness. She had been making her home with
a daughter, Mrs. David Bishop, at Concord the past three years.
Funeral services are tentatively set for Monday afternoon but a definite
announcement will be made Saturday by Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home,
Manitowoc.
The former Georgia Hale Oppen was born Aug. 23, 1892, in Cook County, Ill.,
daughter of the late George and Mary Ohlson Hale. She was married to the late
William Borcherdt and a short while after his death she was married to George
Thomas, who also preceded her in death. She had worked for 22 years for the
former Henderson-Hoyt Co., Manitowoc.
Surviving are her daughter, Mrs. David (Ann) Bishop of Concord, Calif.; a
brother, John Hale, of Manitowoc; two grandchildren; and three great
grandchildren.
