Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at First German Evangelical Lutheran Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. N.W. Kock will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mrs. Thiele, nee Augusta Stephani, was born March 7, 1893, in the Town of Newton, daughter of the late Peter and Augusta Behm Stephani. She attended School in the Town of Newton. She was married to William Thiele Sept. 12, 1913, at Manitowoc and farmed in the Town of Newton. Mr. Thiele preceded her in death in 1956. She moved to Manitowoc to reside in 1959. She was a member of First German Evangelical Lutheran Church and Ladies Aid Society of the church.
Survivors include a son, Donald, of Manitowoc; three daughters, Mrs. Ewald (Gertrude) Janette, of Port Richey, Fla., Mrs. Clifford (Ruth) Mielke, of Cedarburg and Mrs. Theodore (Dorothea) Waak, of Manitowoc; a brother, George Stephani, and a sister, Mrs. Olga Gaestel, of Manitowoc; seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Two brothers, a sister and a grandchild preceded her in death.
Friends may call at Jens Funeral Home, Manitowoc, from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday until 11 a.m. Saturday and at the church from noon until the time of service.
