Mrs. Alvina Stock, 88, widow of Arthur, a resident of Park Lawn Nursing Home in Manitowoc, died there Thursday evening.
She was born Alvina Lenz on July 10, 1887 in the Town of Liberty (Manitowoc County), a daughter of William and Henrietta Schwanz Lenz. She married Mr. Stock on October 29, 1913 in the Town of Liberty. The couple owned and operated a cheese factory there for 22 years.
They moved to Manitwooc in 1933. Mr. Stock was an insurance agent for the Heritage Insurance Co. of Sheboygan from 1932 until his death in 1974. She was a member of St. John United Church of Christ, Manitowoc.
She is survived by nieces and nephews. Her parents, five brothers and three sisters preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held at St. John United Church of Christ at 2 pm Monday, the Rev. Gerald Schrankler, Pastor, officiating. Friends may call at the Jens Funeral Home, 1122 S. 8th St., Manitowoc, after 4 pm Sunday until 11 am Monday and at the church from noon until the time of services. A memorial fund has been established in her name for the church.
