Edmund J. Selle, age 86, of Valders, died Saturday evening, March 19, 1994, at
Manitowoc Health Care Center.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 22, 1994, at St. John's
Lutheran Church, Newtonburg. Rev. Timothy Ehlers will officiate with burial to
follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
He was born February 23, 1908, in the town of Newton, son of the late Emil W.
and Frieda Wegner Selle. He attended St. John's Lutheran School and was employed
by the Nestle Company at Valders for 28 years and then at the Great A&P Tea
Company, Whitehouse Milk Division, retiring in 1973. He married Elsie Fischer
May 16, 1936, at St. John's Church. He was a life long member of St. John's
Lutheran Church and a member of the Valders Senior Citizens.
Survivors include wife, Elsie; one son, Roger of Valders; one daughter and son-
in-law, Marlene and Raymond Eslinger, Mishicot; two grandchildren, David Eslinger,
Port Washington, Mary Eslinger, Mishicot; a sister-in-law, Lorraine (Susie)
Selle, Manitowoc; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. He
was preceded in death by two brothers, Alfred and Harold.
Friends may call at Christenson-Deja Funeral Home, Valders, on Monday evening
(TODAY), from 5-8 p.m. and Tuesday at the church from 10 a.m. until the time
of service.
