ELSIE SELLE

Elsie Selle, age 94, formerly of Valders, Wis., died Saturday night, September 28,
2002 at the Manitowoc Health Care Center where she resided for the past 8 ½ years.
Funeral Services will be held at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2002 at St. John's
Lutheran Church, Newtonberg. Officiating at the service will be the Rev. Victor
Headrick with burial at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Elsie was born June 16, 1908, in the town of Newton, the daughter of the late
William and Mary Brandt Fischer. Elsie married Edmund J. Selle on May 16, 1936
in Newtonberg. He preceded her in death on March 19, 1994. She was a member of
St. John's Lutheran Church, Newtonberg and former member of the Ladies Aid.
Survivors include one son, Roger Selle, Valders; one daughter, Marlene Eslinger,
Mishicot; two grandchildren, David (Julie) Eslinger, Port Washington and Mary
Eslinger, Mishicot; one sister-in-law, Lorraine Selle, Manitowoc. Nieces, nephews,
other relative and friends also survive.
Elsie was also preceded in death by one son-in-law, Raymond Eslinger, one
greatgranddaughter, Eden Eslinger, four sisters and three brothers-in-law, Ella
Fischer, Lillian (Charles) Ballmann, Hildegarde (Elmer) Singer, Edna (Walter)
Dreger, one brother-in-law Alfred Selle.
The family will greet relatives and friends from 4 p.m. until the time of service
at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2002 at St. John's Lutheran Church, Newtonberg.
The Christianson & Deja Funeral Home & Cremation Care Center, Valders, is assisting
the family with funeral arrangements.
