Mrs. Agnes Schwantz, 49, of 1017 South 17th street, died this morning at the
Holy Family hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Frazier mortuary chapel,
the Rev. L. H. Koeninger officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.
Born Agnes Matte in Wausau in 1897, she had been a resident here for 30 years.
She was a member of the Germania society of the First German Evangelical
Lutheran church and the auxiliary of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Her husband,
Arthur Schwantz, died in 1944.
Surviving are her mother, Mrs. Joseph Matte of this city; three daughters,
Violet Dryll of Denver, Mrs. Howard Erickson and Inez Schwantz of this city;
two sons, Eugene Schwantz and Lyle Dryll of this city; six brothers, Clarence,
Herbert, Walter, Louis of this city, Joseph of Milwaukee and Fred of Waupaca;
three sisters, Mrs. Lucille Bashaw, Mrs. Florence Wallen and Mrs. Eleanor
Alberts of this city.
The body may be viewed at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Thursday.
