Mrs. Emma Rott, 98, who resided with her daughter and son-in-law, Evelyn and Ralph Christel of 2319 S. 10th St., Manitowoc, died Saturday in Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc. Funeral services will be 9:30 am Saturday in Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc and 10 am in St. Mary Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. Harold Berryman officiating and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mrs. Rott, nee Emma Zeman, was born Feb. 29, 1880 in the Town of Cooperstown, Manitowoc County, daughter of the late Matt and Anna Zeman. She was married to Anton Rott Sr. in 1906 in Chicago, Ill. He preceded her in death April 7, 1947. She was a 50 year member of the Western Bohemian Fraternal Association.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Edward and Alvina Rott Sr. of Manitowoc; a daughter and son-in-law, Evelyn and Ralph Christel of Manitowoc; three grandchildren, Ronald Christel, David Christel and Edward Rott Jr.; three great grandchildren and a great great granddaughter. A son, Anton Jr., four brothers and two sisters preceded her in death.
Friends may call in Pfeffer Funeral Home 4 pm to 9 pm Friday. A prayer service will be 7 pm. Friday.
