ELEANOR PILGER

Mrs. Eleanor Pilger, 79, of 1102 North 18th street, died early today at the
home, following a lingering illness.
Funeral services will be held at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday at the Shmek and Schwartz
funeral home and at 9 o’clock at the Holy Innocents church, the Rev. E.A. Radey
officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.
Mr. Pilger, nee Eleanor Husse, was born in Bohemia in 1866 and came to Manitowoc
at the age of 21 years. She was married here in 1890 to Anton Pilger.
Survivors are three sons, Michael, Charles and Frank, all of this city, eight
daughters, Mrs. Josephine Pohl, Mrs. Arthur Mueller, all of this city, Mrs. Lewis
Warren of Cincinnati, Ohio, Mrs. Frank Benesh of Los Angeles, three nieces, four
nephews, 24 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
The body may be viewed at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Sunday and the rosary
will be recited at 8 o’clock Monday evening at the funeral home.
