William Pelishek, 83, of 857 N. 14th St., Manitowoc, died Tuesday morning in Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc. Funeral services will be 9:30 a.m. Thursday in Urbanek & Schlei Funeral Home and 10 a.m. in Holy Innocents Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. Richard Verhasselt will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Pelishek was born November 25, 1895 in the Town of Morrison, Brown County, son of the late Louis and Barbara Wanek Pelishek. He married Elizabeth Opichka November 18, 1919 in Kellnersville. They farmed in Brown County until 1948 when they moved to Manitowoc where he was employed with Manitowoc Equipment Works, retiring in 1960. Mrs. Pelishek preceded him in death May 22, 1970. He was a member of Holy Innocents Catholic Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Agnes Shuber of Manitowoc; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Emil and Emma Pelishek of Manitowoc and Frank and Clara Pelishek and Edwin and Marcella Pelishek of Denmark; a sister, Mrs. Rose Nesvacil of Denmark; a grandson, Bob and Trudy Shuber of Appleton; and two aunts, Mrs. William (Mary) Wanek of Denmark and Mrs. Charles (Emma) Wanek of Green Bay; nieces, nephews and cousins. A son-in-law, Robert J. Shuber and two sisters, Mrs. Anna Bouska and Mrs. Lillian Kozlovsky preceded him in death.
Friends may call in Urbanek & Schlei Funeral Home after 4 oclock this Wednesday afternoon and Thursday until the time of service. A parish prayer service with member of Daughters of Isabella participating will be at 7 p.m.
