CLARA PEKAREK
Mrs. John Pekarek, 54, of 718 New York Ave., Manitowoc, died Tuesday
morning at Wisconsin General Hospital, Madison. She had been ill the
past three years.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Mittnacht Funeral Home,
Manitowoc, at 8:30 a.m. Friday and at Holy Innocents Catholic Church,
Manitowoc, at 9 a.m. The Rev. E.A. Radey will officiate and burial will
be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
The former Clara Riha was born July 3, 1899, in the town of Carlton,
Kewaunee County, and was married to John Pekarek in 1919. The couple
always resided at Manitowoc.
She is survived by her husband, a son, John Jr., of Stevens Point; and
two sisters, Mrs. John Mattek and Mrs. Ignatz Wojta of Two Creeks.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Thursday. The Rosary
will be recited at 7 p.m. Thursday by the Daughters of Isabella and the
Knights of Columbus and at 7:30 p.m. by the Altar Society of Holy
Innocents Church.
