WALTER JOHN PANOSH
Walter J. Panosh, age 87, of 1504 Memorial Drive, Manitowoc, died Tuesday afternoon
July 6, 2004 at North Ridge Medical & Rehabilitation Center, Manitowoc.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 9, 2004 at the Klein &
Stangel Funeral Home, Two Rivers. Officiating at the service will be Deacon Ken
Coenen.
Burial of the cremated remains will be at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc, at a later
date.
Walter was born April 2, 1917 in Wabeno, son of the late Myles J. and Anna (Zinda)
Panosh. On June 28, 1953, he married Janet Kretsch in Dubuque, Iowa. She preceded
him in death on May 10, 1994. Walter was employed at Mirro Aluminum until his
retirement. He enjoyed raising horses, hunting, cutting wood and working around
his home.
Survivors include three sons and two daughters-in-law: Walter Jr. and Cindy Panosh,
Two Rivers; Larry and Jeanne Panosh, Manitowoc; Myles Panosh and special friend,
Wendy, Manitowoc; six grandchildren: Erin Panosh and her special friend, Paul
Ruffalo; Adam Panosh and his fiancée, Kelly Jacquart; Brett and Amanda Panosh;
Jaimie and Ashley Panosh; one great-grandson: Antonio; two brothers: Harold (Ruth)
Panosh, Manitowoc; Myles "Sonny" Panosh, Manitowoc; two sisters: Lillian (Fritz)
Ramthun, Cape Coral, Fla.; Louise Toonen, Milwaukee. Nieces, nephews, other
relatives and friends also survive. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in
death by one brother: Joe Panosh; and one sister: Grace Orth.
The family will greet relatives and friends on Friday, July 9, 2004 at Klein &
Stangel Funeral Home & Cremation Care Center from 10 a.m. until the time of service
at 11 a.m.
