Miss Mathilda Luebke died at the Holy Family hospital last evening after having
undergone an operation for an abcess in the ear. The deceased was born in this
city May 6, 1865 and was therefore fifty-five years old at the time of her death.
Besides her mother she leaves three brothers and three sisters to mourn her
departure. They are Fred Luebke, at Two Rivers, Albert at Sawyer, August at
Forrestville, Mrs. Henry Huhn at Branch and Mrs. Bernard Kitzerow and Mrs. Ella
Miller, of this city. For several years the deceased had been a clerk in the dry
goods department of Schuette Bros. Co. and had gained many friends through her
smile and kindly disposition. The funeral will take place Sunday afternoon from
the home, 1121 South Eleventh street, interment at Evergreen.
