Mrs. Paul Lerche, 49, nee Mary Ciedler,(sic) died early this morning at her
home, Manitowoc Rapids, following a heart attack.
Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at 3:30 from the Wattawa, Urbanek
and Schlei funeral home, the Rev. Paul Blaufuss officiating. Burial will be in
Evergreen cemetery. The body will lie at the funeral home from Sunday noon until
the time of the services on Tuesday.
Mrs. Lerche was born in Germany September 23, 1887. She was married to Paul
Lerche in 1914. In 1924 Mr. Lerche came to America and settled in Manitowoc
where Mrs. Lerche joined him ten months later. In 1930 the couple moved to a
farm in Manitowoc Rapids.
Survivors besides the husband include a daughter, Liesollte, at home; two sons,
Paul, Jr., city and Erwin, at home; and two sisters, Mrs. Paul Luebke and Mrs.
A. Vaupel, both of Germany.
