LOUIS LENSMEYER
Louis J. Lensmeyer, 57, of 834 Manitou street, well known Manitowoc insurance
agent, died suddenly early today at the Holy Family hospital. He was stricken
ill Thursday evening and died a few hours after being moved to the hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Frazier Mortuary chapel.
Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.
Mr. Lensmeyer was born in Kellnersville in 1891 and came to this city to
organize his own insurance agency with offices in the Wood block. He was a
member of the Manitowoc Insurance board, the Elks lodge and the local chapter
of Izaak Walton league.
Survivors are his wife, the former Fern Peterson; three sons, Emmett of Chicago,
and Robert and Ellsworth of Peioria, Ill.; daughter, Donna Jean of Peoria;
three brothers, Frank of Kellnersville, John of Cato and Michael of Reedsville;
two sisters, Mrs. Hannah Ramiker and Mrs. Clara Haas of this city.
The body may be viewed at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Sunday.
