After retiring from Pabst Blue Ribbon in Peoria, Ill., John moved to Florida with his wife. After his wife passed away in 1989, he moved in with his niece, Debra, and lived in Madison.
John is survived by his nieces, Debra Wells, Tamara Wells, Judy (Gary) Orr and Karen (Jerry) McKnight; and his nephews, Robert (Sandy) Neerland, Jason Wells, Jeremy Wells, Robert (Donna) Lensmeyer and Mark Lensmeyer.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ethel; sister, Donna Jean Neerland; brothers, Robert and Everett Lensmeyer; and brother-in-law, Donald Neerland.
