Anton Kubichka, 82, a former Rt. 1, Whitelaw, resident, died Sunday morning at
Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Saur Funeral Home,
Kellnersville, and 10 a.m. at St. Anne Catholic Church, Francis Creek. The Rev.
John Haen will officiate with burial in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Kubichka was born Jan. 1, 1893, in Czechoslovakia, son of the late Matt and
Marie Soukup Kubickhka. He came to the United States with his parents at age of
10 years. He married Clara Oswald Sept. 17, 1917, at St. Anne Catholic Church,
Francis Creek. He farmed in the Town of Franklin from 1920 until his retirement
in 1966. He was a school board member for many years of the former Riverside
School, Town of Franklin. Mrs. Kubichka preceded him in death Dec. 13, 1969.
Survivors include three sons, Reuben, of Green Bay, and Stanley and Anton Jr.,
of Manitowoc; three brothers, Frank, of Rt. 2, Two Rivers, Charles of Tacoma,
Wash., and Louis, of Cooperstown, 4 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
A son, Charles, died in 1967. Two brothers and a sister also preceded him in
death.
Friends may call at Saur Funeral Home after 4 p.m. Tuesday until the time of
service Wednesday. A prayer service will be at 8 p.m. Tuesday by Father Haen.
