Mrs. Fred Z. Krueger, 52, former resident of this city, died yesterday at a
hospital in Kenosha, following a long illness.
Funeral services will be held in Kenosha Monday afternoon and the body will be
brought to Manitowoc. It will be taken to the Vogelsang funeral home Tuesday
morning and services will be held there at 11 o’clock. Interment will be in
Evergreen cemetery.
Mrs. Krueger, nee Elsie Anna Abitz, was born in Wausau in 1885 where she spent
her early life and received her education. In 1902 she was married to Mr.
Krueger and after a few years residence in Wausau they came to this city.
Following a six-year residence here they returned to Wausau for 13 years and
in 1925 moved to Kenosha.
Mrs. Krueger was an active member of the German Methodist church at Wausau.
Survivors are the widower; a son, Harold, Chicago; mother, Mrs. Minnie Abitz,
Wausau; three brothers, William, Fred and Otto, all of Wausau; sister, Mrs.
Robert Berger, Waukesha; and a grandchild, Ruth Krueger, Chicago.
