Mrs. Albert J. (Katharine J.) Jung, 84, a former Whitelaw resident, died Friday
morning at Maple Crest Nursing Home, Whitelaw.
Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Monday at Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home,
Manitowoc and at 10 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. Harold
Berryman will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
She was born April 12, 1891, in the Town of Franklin, daughter of the late Jacob
and Anna Wachal Naidl. She was married to Albert J. Jung, Nov. 25, 1913, at St.
Ann Catholic Church, Francis Creek. She and her husband farmed in Branch until
retirement in 1935 (or 55?), then resided in Whitelaw. She was a former member
of Branch Homemakers, Branch.
Survivors include her husband, two sons, George, of Manitowoc and Quirin, of Ripon,
three daughters, Mrs. Arnold (Albertha) Tienor, of Rt. 2, Reedsville, Mrs. Adolph
(Eleanore) Duchow, and Mrs. Emil (Lorraine) Duchow, both of Rt. 4, Chilton; five
brothers, George, of Racine, Edward of Branch, Charles and Frank, of Rt. 1, Whitelaw,
and Jake, of Rt. 1, Maribel; two sisters, Mrs. Mayme Yanda, of Manitowoc and Mrs.
Eleanore Shavlik, of Two Rivers, 23 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Two
brothers and two sisters preceded her in death.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. Sunday and on Monday until time
of service. A wake memorial service will be at 7:30 p.m. Sunday.
