Mr. Donald J. Christoffel, 45, of 1204 Fleetwood Drive, Manitowoc, died Sunday evening, June 24, in Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Parkside Funeral Home, Manitowoc and 11 a.m. at Holy Innocent Catholic Church. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Daniel J. Felton with burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Christoffel was born December 22, 1938, at Manitowoc, son of Roy and Helen Bonk Christoffel. Mr. Christoffel attended Manitowoc Schools, graduating from Lincoln High School in 1957. In 1962 he enlisted in the United States Army Reserve for six years and was discharged in 1968. He was a former employee of Kroger Stores of Manitowoc and more recently employed with Prudential Life Insurance. He married the former Nancy Pierson on November 16, 1963, at Holy Innocent Catholic Church. Mr. Christoffel was a member of Holy Innocent Catholic Church and a long time member of the Men's Choir of the church.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy; a son, Scott Edward Christoffel at home; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Christoffel of Manitowoc; a brother and a sister-in-law, James P. and Jane Christoffel of Merritt Island, Florida; four nephews, Michael, Steven, David and Jon and two nieces, Tracy and Julie.
Friends may call at Parkside Funeral Home, Manitowoc, from 4 to 9 p.m. Wednesday evening. A prayer service will be held at 8 p.m. led by Deacon Kenneth Nelesen.
