Jean L. Bushman, age 69, of 1214 N. 18th St., Manitowoc, died Sunday morning,
January 3, 2001, at Shady Lane Nursing Care Center, Manitowoc.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, January 10, 2001, at St.
Paul Catholic Church, Manitowoc. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial
will be Rev. Ronald Reimer with burial at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Jean was born January 12, 1931, in Manitowoc, daughter of the late Hugo and
Verona Heinzen Gerharz. She was a graduate of Manitowoc Lincoln High School,
class of 1949. On January 3, 1953, she married Kenneth Bushman at St. Paul
Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The couple celebrated 48 years of marriage. Jean
was active at St. Lawrence Church and School in Metairie, LA., serving as
president of the PTA. Locally she was a greeter, Ecumenical Minister and member
of the Christian Women at Holy Innocents Catholic Church. She was also a member
of the Manitowoc Yacht Club Auxiliary.
Survivors include her husband, Kenneth Bushman, Manitowoc; her children, Debra
(Ron) LaFond, Manitowoc, James (Krickie) Bushman, West Bend, Robert (Sue)
Bushman, Oshkosh, Judith (Todd) Snyder, Itasca, Ill., Patricia (Bill) Huttula,
Howell, Mich., William (Lisa) Bushman, Dublin, Ohio, Ann (Kevin) Karstaedt,
Kiel; 13 grandchildren, Keith, Heather and Daniel LaFond, McKenna and Claire
Bushman, Kyle Bushman, Scott, Lauren, Calllie and Jacob Snyder, Hayden Huttula,
Rachel and Kristie Bushman; four sisters and a brother-in-law, Mary Ann Henning,
Betty Lou Schmitt, Ruth Ann Schmidt, and Dolores (Leonard) Schweigel. She is
further survived by a brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, Oran (Ruth) Bushman,
Audrey (Don) Olson and Eleanor Bushman. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and
friends also survive.
The family will greet relatives and friends at the Pfeffer Funeral Home,
Manitowoc from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday (TONIGHT) where a prayer service will be held
at 7:30 p.m. by Deacon Paul Kieffer. The family will also greet relatives and
friends Wednesday morning at St. Paul Catholic Church from 10 a.m. until the
time of service at 11 a.m.
