Brouchoud Girl Dies of Injuries
Margaret Brouchoud, 5, kindergarten student at Jefferson School, died at noon
Wednesday at Holy Family Hospital. She had sustained a head injury Oct. 6 in
a fall at the school.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the First German Evangelical
Lutheran Church, the Rev. L. H. Koeninger officiating, with burial in Evergreen
Cemetery.
Margaret was born August 25, 1949, in the city, a twin sister of Marie. She had
____ ____ year kindergarten at Jefferson and following the accident had been
hospitalized. Brain surgery was performed and much of the time since then the
little girl had been in a semi-conscious condition.
She is survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Brouchoud, twin sister, Marie,
a step-sister, Mildred Waack, two brothers Leonard and Leroy, a step-brother,
Lloyd Waack, paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Brouchoud, and the
maternal grandfather, Louis Pleuss, of the city.
Friends may call at the Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home after 3 p.m. Thursday until
11 a.m. Friday when the casket will be moved to the church where the body will lie
in state until the hour of service.
