Lester Wayne Bills, age 71, passed away January 15 1987 in a Salt Lake care center of natural causes.
Born March 1, 1915, Salt Lake City, to Wilford Lester and Constance Lillian Cook Bills. Married Helen Welsh. Later divorced. Married LaVerne Peterson, November 12, 1983, in Salt Lake City. Veteran World Ward II. Retired postal clerk, plumber. Active member and High Priest in the LDS Church. Served LDS Mission to the Samoan Islands. Member DAV. Avid bowler. Enjoyed music and played the accordian. Beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother, and will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Survivors wife, Salt Lake City; sons and daughters, Roger L., Mrs. Janice Castro, both of Salt Lake City, Mrs. Allen (Stacie) Wright, Sunset, eleven grandchildren, sisters, Fern Bateman, Helen, Bennion, Jean Cross, Lois Coombs, all of Salt Lake City, Leane McQuarrie, Arcadia, California, step-sister, Iren Guyre, Salt Lake City. Preceded in deaht by sisters, Ruth Parker and Marilyn Bills.
Funeral services Monday, January 19th, 12 noon at the Mountain View 3rd Ward, 1889 So 1700 East. Friends may call Jenkins Soffe Mortuary, 4760 South State, Sunday 6-8 p.m. and Monday at the church, one hour prior to services. Interment, Elysian Burial Gardens.
