Mary Elizabeth Holt Rawlins was the daughter of Robert Holt.
She was married to George Edgar Rawlins with whom she had 5 children:

Georgia Mae Rawlins Smith (Mae) b.Dec. 19, 1893
Lillie Naomi Rawlins Close (Lillie) b. Oct. 8, 1895
Bert Rawlins b. Jan 28, 1897
George Edgar Rawlins Jr. (Edgar) b. 1894
Susan Rawlins (burned to death at age 3yrs.)
James (died age 9 months)

By her daughter Lillie's description, Mary was a small woman with long black hair, blue eyes, and tan skin.

Mary witnessed the death of her daughter, three year old Susan, who rocked her little chair into the fireplace. Mary Elizabeth suffered severe burns to her arms during her attempt to put out the flames. Susan died the next day. Mary Elizabeth was officially diagnosed with "Acute Depression" and sadly was admitted to this hospital Aug 17, 1906 at the age of 30 yrs. She remained there until her death on July 11, 1918 during the 1918 Influenza Epidemic.

She is buried at Terrell State Hospital Cemetery which is named Wildwood Cemetery.
