Jan 6, 1950 - Carroll Daily Times - Mrs. Effie Crook Vernon of Glendale, Calif., formerly of Carroll, and George M. Seath of Los Angeles were married at 12 o'clock noon Friday, December 30, by the Rev. Dr. Sneed, pastor of the First Methodist church, Los Angeles. The bride wore a gray lace street-length dress, matching mitts and shoes, and a corsage of orchids. After a wedding trip to Long Beach, the couple is living at 1029 South Hope, Los Angeles.
July 17, 1954 - Carroll Daily Times - The ashes of Mrs. George Seath of Los Angeles, Calif., were interred in the family lot in the Carroll City Cemetery at 10 a.m. Friday. Out-of-town friends were here from Rockwell City and Lake City for a brief service.
Mrs. Seath, the former Mrs. Effie Crook Vernon, died at Los Angeles in March. She was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. T.H. Crook of Carroll, both of whom are deceased. Interment was under the direction of the Huffman Funeral Home.
