August 11, 1903 - Carroll Sentinel - Harry Crook, the youngest son of T.H. Crook, died Wednesday morning at 2 o'clock at the hospital. The cause of death was spinal meningitis. Harry was an industrious and ambitious boy and was a favorite with all his school mates. The funeral was held from the M.E. church Friday afternoon, Rev. 0.E. Bentley officiating.
- Mrs. Gus Vernon was called from Jefferson last Thursday on account of the serious operation upon her brother, Harry Crook, who later died.
