Dora Simmons Alford Turner, 89, a native of Franklinton and a resident of Liberty,MS died Tuesday, November 19 at the Community Living Center in Liberty.
She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, all of Liberty; a sister of Vicksburg, MS; a brother, of Franklinton; four grandchildren of Denham Springs; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Louie D. Alford; her second husband, Munson Turner; and three brothers, Othar Simmons of Franklinton, Billy Simmons of Meadville, MS and Wayward Simmons of Baton Rouge.
Visitation was at the Rabenhorst East Funeral Home in Baton Rouge from 5 until 9 p.m.Thursday and after 9 a.m. Friday until time for services. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. with Rev. Shane Pourciau officiating. Her nephews served as pallbearers.
Interment was in Resthaven.
