Sam enlisted in the United States Army and served in World War ll. After being Honorably discharged in 1947 he moved to Los Angeles where he met the love of his life Lupe Lopez. The two married in 1963 and together raised three daughters and two sons.
Sam was admired and loved by many. He had a wonderful sense of humor and was always able to find comedy in all life's events. Sam loved the Blues, Westerns and Sports. He shared his inter3est and knowledge with all that cam in contact with him.
Sam passed to his eternal reward on January 2, 2001 to join his sister Connie, brothers Johnny and Jimmy and grandson Carlon who preceded him in death.
He leaves to cherish his loving memory' his beloved wife and best friend Lupe, three daughters, Delores, Rachelle, and Diane, two sons, Ricardo and Carlton, twelve grandchildren, twelve great-grand children, three brothers, Charles, Willie and James, one sister Vernettie and a host of other Relatives and Friends.
