TAUNTON–Bruno R. Alegi,94 years old, died in Morton Hospital, on January 15, 2011. Born in Taunton son of the late Amando and Annie (Enos) Alegi, he was educated in Taunton Schools. He was US Navy veteran of WW II serving in the C B's, building air strips on the islands of Tinian and Okinawa. Bruno was a woodworker and before and after the war he was employed by the Eurkea Co. He them opened his own business, Raynham Industries and continued there for over 25 years. He was a communicant of Annunciation of the Lord parish. He was a past president, vice president and a member of the board of director of the Italian Social Club for many years. He enjoyed playing Bocce and playing cards at the Club. For all of his family he found great enjoyment in making jewelry boxes, bird houses and many other items out of wood. He was the husband of the late Rosalie( Grasso) Alegi, who died in 2002. He is the father of Mary Pinocci and her husband James of Norton, Beverly Lafleur and her husband Bruce of Taunton, Janice Gagnon and her husband Raymond of Taunton and Lois Shaw and her husband John of Taunton. Bruno is the grandfather of 7, the great grandfather of 7 and the brother of Delores Duarte of Assonet and Albert Alegi of Taunton. He was the brother of the late Elsie Kawa and Ida Palazzi and he is also the uncle of several.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral from the Crapo-Hathaway Funeral Home, 350 Somerset Ave. ( Route 138 South) Taunton on Thursday at 9AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Annunciation of the Lord Church at 10 AM. Visiting hours on Wednesday from 4-7PM. Interment St. Joseph's Cemetery.
