Dolores (Alegi) Duarte, 79 years old died on Sunday May 22, 2011, in Marian Manor, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Taunton daughter of the late Armando and Anna ( Enos) Alegi. A long time resident of 28 Hart Street, she and her husband John moved to Assonet 6 years ago. She was educated in Taunton Schools and was formerly the manager of Country Uniform Shop in Brockton. For years she and her husband owned and ran Dolan Newspaper Store in Weir Village. Dolores also had worked at Eureka and in the office at Reed and Barton Silver Company. She was a member of the Italian Womens Social Club. A communicant of St Bernard's Church in Assonet she was a long time communicant of Annunciation of the Lord Church in Taunton. Dolores is survived besides her husband John of Assonet, her daughters Lynn Souza and her husband Bob of Assonet, Donna Ross and her husband Doug of Taunton and Carol Duarte of Taunton and her nephews, Steven Kawa and his wife Brenda of Nevada, David Kawa and his wife Susan of FL and Paul Kawa and his wife Karen of Mansfield. She is the loving grandmother of Matthew, Bailey, Sydney, Brooks, Drew, Kiana, Jake, Kayla, Blake, Jada, Max, Abby, Elizabeth and Karolyn. Dolores is the sister of Albert Alegi of Taunton. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral from the Crapo-Hathaway Funeral Home, 350 Somerset Ave. ( Route 138 South) Taunton on Friday at 9 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Annunciation of the Lord Church at 10AM. Visiting hours on Thursday from 4-8PM. Interment St Joseph Cemetery.
