David K. Elliott, 54, of Lake Blackshear died August 7, 2012 at his residence. Funeral services will be held Sunday at 4:00 PM at Mathews Funeral Home. Rev. Bobby Moye will officiate. A private interment will be held at Leesburg Cemetery.

Born in Atlanta, GA to the late James West Elliott and Florence Sue Allen Elliott, David grew up in Albany, GA and graduated from Westover High School in 1976 and graduated from The University of Georgia in 1980. Growing up, he attended Albany Christian Church, was very athletic, participated in many sports but was a good baseball player and a lefty pitcher. David was the former president of Albany Crane Company and had lived at Lake Blackshear for the past fifteen years.

Survivors include three brothers, Steven Elliott of Cuthbert, GA, Mark and Beth Elliott of Alpharetta, GA and Don and Gina Elliott of Grand Bay, AL, his partner, Merry Beth Willis, ten nieces and nephews and three great-nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 3:00 PM until 4:00 PM Sunday at Mathews Funeral Home.
