Jack Lenhart, was engaged in stockraising in Union County, New Mexico. He started with the F. D. Wight Livestock Company. He purchased homesteads from departing settlers and soon had a large ranch in Road Canyon. Oil was found in one of his sections. Jack's health waned and he retired to his hometown, Trinidad. His father had come to Trinidad in a coverecd wagon in 1870.
