FUNERAL SERVICES FOR SIDNEY W. PARKER
The death of Sidney W. Parker, a former resident of Emerson occurred at his Detroit, Mich. home Oct. 7, and the remains were brought to the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. G. M. Parker, of Emerson. Funeral services were conducted from the home, Saturday afternoon, by Rev. Rector of Canton.
Mr. Parker was born Dec. 31,1888, on a farm near Emerson. He was married to Winifred Schallenberg Nov. 5, 1908. To them were born two children who survive, Pauline, 16, and Imogene, 11. Besides his parents, wife and daughters, he is survived by three sisters and two brothers, Mrs. G. B. Bowles of Emerson, Mrs. Ira Leach of Maywood, Mrs. Marie Parker of Baltimore, Md., L. L. Parker of Detroit and T. B. Parker of Quincy.
At the age of fifteen, Mr. Parker united with the Christian church at Emerson. A few years ago he moved to Detroit, where he was employed by the Ford Motor Co. His death resulted from pneumonia, following a severe cold contracted three weeks before.
