MRS. HENRIETTA PARKER
Mrs. Henrietta Parker died at her home near Emerson Monday morning, April 10, 1933, following an illness of a serious character, which extended over a period of two weeks. Funeral services were held at the home Thursday, April 13th, at 2:30 p.m., conducted by; Rev. Byron Ingold and Raymond Hutchison, Interment was in the Emerson cemetery.
Henrietta, daughter of Jacob and Lois Brandon, was born in Culpepper county, Virginia, November 26, 1853. The family moved to Carroll county, Missouri, about 1855. In 1876 she was married to George Parker, and they moved to this county, settling near Emerson in 1880. Her age at time of death was 79 years, 4 days and 4 months. Her husband passed away in August, 1932, and surviving children are Thurston Parker, Maywood; Leslie, Detroit; Mrs. Ira Leach, Hester; Mrs. G. B. Bowles, Emerson, and Miss Marie Parker, Westminster, Md. Mrs. Parker was a member of the Christian church, and was widely known and highly respected. The Spectator offers sympathy to thise (sic) bereaved by her death.
