Esther Mitchell Kills Brother Who Took A "Holy Roller's" Life
Seattle, Wash.July 13.--George Mitchell, the youth who recently shot and killed Franz Edmund Creffield, the so-called "Holy Roller" prophet and who was acquitted of the charge of murder on a plea of insanity, was shot and killed by his sister, Esther, at the Union Station at 1st Avenue and South Cherry Street a few minutes before 5 o'clock Thursday afternoon.
Esther Mitchell joined the "Holy Rollers' in Corvallis, Ore., and was one of the most fanatical of Crefields followers. When her brother pursued the leader to Seattle and shot him down on the street he pleaded justification that Creffield had deluded his sister.
George Mitchell was acquitted of the change of murder on Tuesday, and nearly all the day following he spend in search of Esther in Seattle lodging houses.
