Luigi married Domenica "Mamie" Zambiasi 28 Jan 1898 in Val di Non, Trentino. Their first child, Lewis, was born there and the three arrived together at Ellis Island on the ship "La Bretagne" in April 1900. They had 12 children together. His published obituary names 10 surviving children as one child, Herman, predeceased him and his youngest child, Leonard, was born 6 days after Luigi died.
