Ilene married Scott LeMoyne Wilson on Dec. 6, 1950, in the Logan LDS Temple. She worked for the Mountain Bell Telephone Company and retired after 25 years.
Ilene was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she served in many callings, including Relief Society president, Primary president and as the ward and Primary chorister. She sang for many years in the ward choir, was a faithful visiting teacher for 60 years and served as a volunteer in the Logan Temple and at the LDS Distribution Center. Ilene and Scott served two church service missions to Deseret Industries and Adam-ondi-Ahman.
Ilene enjoyed working in her flower garden and berry patches, traveling, knitting, needlepoint and sewing. She was an avid sports fan following USU football and basketball and BYU football. Ilene loved to support her grandchildren and great-grandchildren in their many activities.
Ilene is survived by her husband Scott; their three children Annette (Roger) Howell of North Ogden, Utah, Paula (Courtney) Fisher of Kaysville, Utah, and Gary Wilson of Los Angeles, Calif.; 10 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren. Her greatest joy was her family.
Ilene is also survived by her sisters Eloise Toolson and Cloteel Liechty; and brothers Lex, Sherwin and Tony Baer. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Delva.
Funeral services will be held at noon Saturday, Aug. 11, 2012, at the River Heights 1st Ward chapel, 800 S. 600 East in River Heights, Utah, under the direction of Bishop David Rasmuson. A viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 10, 2012, at Allen-Hall Mortuary, 34 E. Center St. in Logan, and 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. prior to the service at the church Saturday. Interment will be in the Providence Cemetery.
