Loris-Frances Chestnut Mishoe, age 82, passed away Sunday, August 5, 2012, following a brief illness.

Mrs. Mishoe was born in Conway a daughter of the late Kelly William Chestnut and the late Gladys Frances Hardee Chestnut. She retired from Loris Hospital after 45 years of service. Mrs. Mishoe was a 1948 graduate of Conway High School and a 1951 graduate of the South Carolina Baptist Hospital School of Nursing in Columbia. She was a devoted member of Loris First Baptist Church and the Joye Sunday School Class. Mrs. Mishoe was predeceased by one sister, Pauline Chestnut, and two brothers, Grady L. Chestnut and his wife Elizabeth, and William Levon Chestnut and his wife Ann.

Survivors include her husband of 59 years, John W. Mishoe, Sr., of Loris; one son, John Wayne Mishoe, Jr. and his wife Angela of Loris; one daughter, Donna Mishoe Spivey and her husband Scott of Loris; four grandchildren, Crystal Mishoe Brunson and her husband Daniel of Lugoff, Stephanie Lynn Mishoe of Loris, John Wallace Mishoe and his fiance Brittney of Loris, and Christa LeAnn Russell and Josh Maxwell of Loris; one great-grandson, John Logan Mishoe of Loris; and two brothers, Billy Joe Chestnut and his wife Lib of Conway, and Freeman Heyward Chestnut and his wife Shirley of Conway.

Visitation will be Tuesday, August 7, 2012, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Loris Chapel.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 8, 2012, at 3:00 p.m. from Loris First Baptist Church with Dr. Larry Turner and Rev. Earl Elvis officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Dale Cemetery.
