Rites for Trenton resident will be held Saturday afternoon at 1:30 at Davis Memorial Chapel
Mrs. Robert Alva Clark, who had been in ill health for the past year, died Thursday night at her home at 708 Normal Street. Mrs. Clark who has been bedfast for the past month, was 60 years of age, She had been a resident of this community for 40 years.
Mrs. Luvena Bailey Clark was born Jan 7, 1883, in Bath County, Kentucky, the daughter of William and Sarah Ann Jones Bailey. She was married to Robert Alva Clark, Jan 18, 1904, at Galt. She joined the Methodist Church in 1916 and then transferred her membership to the Liberty Chapel Christian Church.
She is survived by her husband and one son, Clarence Earl Clark of the home; three sisters, Mrs. Malissa St. Claire of Rochester, New York, Mrs. Alice Smalley of Lindley and Mrs. Ann Poactrey of Wickes, Ark., and one brother, W.E. Bailey of Laredo.
Three brothers and one sister preseses Mrs. Clark in death. They were R.G. Bailey, Alfred Marion Bailey, Richard Wages Bailey, and Mrs, Nanny Hornback.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday afternoon at 1:30 at the Memorial chapel of the Davis Funeral home, with the Rev. J.E. Todd in charge. Burial will be in the Maple Grove Cemetery.
