Mr. William Bailey, died Thursday morning, Dec. 2nd at the home of his son, in Lindley, MO.

Mr. Bailey was nearing the 78 milestone in the journey of life and was the faher of a large family of children, seven of whom are still living, two in Kentucky, two in Oklahoma, two in MIssouri, and one in Kansas.

The deceased lost his wife several years ago, who also died in Lindley and three of his children have passed away before him and undoubtedly were awaiting him in the realms of eternal glory. Eph, the only surviving son of the deceased resides in Lindley and has spent the best part of his early manhood in trying to make the declining years of his aged father comfortable and happy.

Mr. Bailey is survived by many friends and relatives who mourn his loss and who deeply sympathize with the sorrowing and afflicted family.

Peaceful be thy silent slumbers, peaceful in the realms of God: yet for thee we're deeply mourning, since we've laid thee beneath the sod.

And to Jesus we resign thee, far beyond this earthly climb. While with angels thou art dwelling, out beyond the shores of time, and for thee the battle's ended, while thy armour's been laid down.

Amongst the angels thou art waiting, to receive a harp and crown. While we miss thee from our circle, and sadly view thy vacant chair: We know in Jesus thou art sleeping as we breathe our evening prayer.
