The body of Pfc. Charles H. Hooker, 22, Lima's first Korean war casualty, arrived in Lima at 2:13 p.m. Saturday on the Erie railroad for services and burial. Son of Mr. and Mrs. Earl S. Hooker, 1170 S. Central-av, the youth was reported killed in action Sept. 20, 1950, just eight days before his 23rd birthday. They body will remain in the family residence until services at 2 p.m. Monday in the Siferd and Son Colonial chapel. The Rev. DeWayne Bell will officiate and burial will be in Memorial Park cemetery. Complete military rites by various Lima veterans organizations will be conducted at the graveside. Besides his parents he is survived by seven brothers, John, 757 S. Glenwood-av; Garland, 120 N. Metcalf-st; William D., Shawnee-tp; David, 110 Euclid-av; Gerald, Donald and Ronald, all at home; two sisters, Mrs Helen Klink, Alger; Betty, at home; his maternal grandmother, Mrs. Elizabeth Lighthill, Haviland.
