Jennie B. Long, daughter of William and Mary Long, was born December 20, 1862 in Carroll County, and died January 10, 1929, age 66 years and 21 days.
On October 11, 1893, she was married to William W. Cook, also of Carroll County and to this union four children were born: Mrs. William Newell (Nellie); Mrs. Frank Sheagley (Mina); Mrs. Hobart Deeds (Edith); and Joseph Franklin Cook (Josephine).
On March 24, 1878, she united with the Presbyterian Church at Cutler, Indiana and for over fifty years was a faithful and good worker. She was also an active member of the local Eastern Star and Rebecca Lodges.
Besides her husband and children, there are sixteen grandchildren, two sisters and one brother, three half-sisters and two half-brothers, other relatives and many friends who mourn her passing.
Burial was held in Ball Hill Cemetery. She was a good friend and neighbor because she knew the meaning of friendship and neighborliness.
