She was predeceased by her husband, Norman; her son, Stuart; son-in-law, Barrie Sutherland; and a grandson, Dirk Wayne Sutherland. She is survived by her sons, Milton and his wife, Pauline Doane, of Enfield, Myron and his wife, Edna Doane, of Enfield and Gerald and his wife, Joanne Doane, of Bangor; her daughter, Joyce Sutherland of Enfield; her daughter-in-law, Betty Doane of Enfield; seven grandsons, Wayne, Brian, John, David, Peter and Paul Doane and Hoyt Sutherland; and five granddaughters, Paula Carter, Julie Ireland, Wendy Jones, Robin Chase and Julie Moeller. She has five great-grandsons, 11 great-granddaughters, a great-great-granddaughter, several nieces and nephews.
Marion and Norman lived on the farm on Dodlin Road all their 60-plus years. Marion enjoyed her quiet, private and simple farm lifestyle. She utilized the farm products by making butter and canning all the garden vegetables. She enjoyed her privacy while cooking, sewing, crocheting, knitting and putting together jigsaw puzzles.
There will be a private gathering in memory of Marion, with burial afterward at Enfield Cemetery. (Bangor daily News 8/5/2012)
