a april 19, 1985 letter from mrs. ethel Thompson of rt. 1, Hollandale, Wisconsin. says wenzlaffs were said to have been from schonwalde, Bromberg co., posen, Germany. (ev. Lutheran church at wilhelmsdorf. catholic church at reuheim). they came to u.s. july 26, 1867 with 3 children - august, augusta & carl. only child who survived is august. came to maple grove twp. manitowac co. near Reedsville, Wisconsin. rosa his wife had 12 children. a brother came to u.s. about 1872.
