DAVENPORT Nile C. Enders, 92, of Davenport, died Wednesday, February 4, 2009, at Genesis West Medical Center. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, February 7, 2009, at Faith United Church of Christ in Davenport. Visitation will be Friday, February 6, 2009, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Runge Mortuary. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Faith United Church of Christ or CASI.
Nile was born on November 9, 1916, in Ponca, Neb., and married Nina Bostick on August 18, 1946, in Ponca. She passed away in 1992. He enjoyed hunting, gardening, hairstyling and being active in his church.
Survivors include a daughter, Victoria (Tom) Ertel, of Davenport; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife.
