Death of John Brisbane.
John Brisbane, 73, long time resident of Lima, died Wednesday, Sept. 3. 1958, in Clearwater. Fla., where he had lived for about a year. He is survived by 12 children. Mr. Brisbane was a Lima native and lived there until he moved to Florida. He was employed for more than 35 years by the Pinco Insulator Co., in Lima. Surviving are his wife, Dora C. Brisbane; nine daughters, Mrs. Alice Smith and Mrs. Bernice Costa of Clearwater, Mrs. Ruth Gaffney, Mrs. Dorothy Ryder, Mrs. Mary Jean Colwell, Mrs. Virginia Smith and Miss Helen Brisbane, all of Rochester, Mrs. Kathryn Vallone of Livonia and Mrs. Vivian Hoh of Lima; also three sons, Arthur of Lima, John H. of the U. S. Air Force, and Walter of Matamaras. Pa.; three sisters, Mrs. Sidney Gillean and Mrs. Margaret Hurley of Lima and Mrs. Elizabeth Edwards of Mt. Morris: three brothers, James, Frederick and Frank, all of Lima; 31 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Services were held Monday in the Lima Presbyterian Church, with interment in Oak Ridge Cemetery, Lima. Funeral arrangements were by the O'Connell Funeral Home, Lima.
