Arlys Ponce, 42, of 1701 Merle Huff Ave., Norwalk, died of multiple stab wounds Wednesday at home. The death has been ruled a homicide. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Southtown Funeral Home, with burial at Norwalk Cemetery.
Born in Oskaloosa, Mrs. Ponce grew up in Knoxville and had lived in Des Moines before moving to Norwalk eight years ago. She owned and operated a home child care service.
Among survivors are her husband, Robert; a daughter, Rebecca Ponce, and two sons, Andrew Ponce and Bryan Ponce, all of Norwalk; her parents, Eugene and Vera Mae Harvey of Knoxville; and a brother, Danny Harvey of Knoxville.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Polk County Victim Services.
