Rosella Emmaline Stuemke, age 93, of Mankato, passed away Saturday, September 12, 2015, at Pathstone Living.
Funeral Service will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday, September 17, 2015, at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Mankato, with Rev. Paul Lauer officiating. Burial will be at Woodland Hills Memorial Park. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Memorials are preferred to an organization of the donor’s choice. Mankato Mortuary assisted the family with arrangements.
Rosella was born October 30, 1921, in Morristown to Charles and Dorathea (Bauer) Edwards. She graduated from Morristown High School in 1939 and attended Mankato Teachers College for two years. Rosella married Harold Oney June 15, 1941. They divorced in 1958. On November 6, 1960, she married the love of her life, Frederick Stuemke of Good Thunder. Rosella was a long time employee of Montgomery Wards, Herbergers, and Sears Roebuck.
Rosella is survived by her two children, Gary (Carol) Oney of Mankato and Kathryn (Robert) Bode of Columbia Heights; one grandson, Jason (Shelly) Hofstedt of Coon Rapids; and also many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Frederick; and two sisters, Lucille Fausch and Helen Meshke.
