Eunice Simpson Coble Hopkins

Services for Eunice Simpson Coble Hopkins, 91, of Meigs, are at 11 a.m., Friday, Sept. 11, 2009, at First Baptist Church of Pelham.

Mrs. Hopkins died Monday, Sept. 7, at Pelham Parkway Nursing Home, Pelham.

Born Jan. 5, 1918, in Mitchell County, she was the daughter of the late Charlie Arthur Simpson and Fannie Mae Tipper Simpson.

She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church of Pelham.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, C.M. Coble; her second husband, Andrew Hopkins; and 11 brothers and sisters.

Surviving are two daughters, Dorothy Schlabach and husband Roy of Meigs, Elaine Durant and husband Ronnie of McEwen, Texas; two sons, Ronnie Coble and wife Ellen of Las Vegas, Nev., Randy Coble and wife Janice of Venice, Fla.; one sister, Ester Mae Justice of Albany; nine grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
