Joseph died sometime between October 1864 and the summer of 1865. He is buried at Union Cemetery, in Kansas City, Missouri. In a talk with the office, they said that there had been a fire and lost all records prior to 1898.
Anna married William DeBeque on August 27, 1865, only a few months after the birth of her daughter Minnie by her previous husband. Her new husband was a Belgian immigrant, and Census records show that he was a farmer or laborer. They had 3 children; Ida May, Eli Samuel, and Charles William, and lived in Clay County, Missouri.
When she died, she was 52 years, 9 months, and 3 days old.
