Gilbert Swenson, who recently returned from New Mexico died Tuesday evening at his home in Burnside. The funeral will be held from the home tomorrow forenoon at 10 o'clock. His death occurred from tuberculosis. HIs obituary will appear in our next issue.

OBITUARY
Gilbert Swenson was born in Burnside township February 9, 1876, and died at the home of his parents January 30, 1906, aged 29 years, 11 months 21 days. He has always lived in that vicinity, and was popular with all who knew him. During the past few years he has assisted his brothers in their stores at Burnside and Lehigh. Nearly a year ago he was take sick with that dread disease, tuberculosis, and in September of last year went down to Roswell, New Mexico, to try the climate of that place, but received no help, his brother Victor going down about three weeks ago to bring him home. Since coming home, he has grown weaker until death ensued. His funeral was held last Friday, Rev. Newman, his pastor, officiating, and his remains were laid to rest in Dayton cemetery. Gilbert was highly respected by all, and a host of friends sympathize with the family in their sorrow. HIs parents, eight brothers, and a sister survive him. HIs death takes away a popular young man from that community, and was a sad incident closing a promising future.
